#Muse Asia Adds 2 More Anime to Summer 2021 Lineup

Muse Asia announced an updated version of their Summer 2021 lineup which was previously announced on June 29. Added to the Summer 2021 lineup are Battle Game in 5 Seconds and I, Tsushima. I, Tsushima is scheduled to have a TV and a web version that has different air dates and timings.


Battle Game in 5 Seconds is set to air on July 13 at 1:30 AM (GMT+8), with subsequent episodes airing every Tuesday. For Thai viewers, there will be a one week delay for all episodes.

The anime’s staff includes Meigo Naito (Princess Principal) as chief director, Nobuyoshi Arai (Banana Fish) as director, Tomokatsu Nagasaku (Show By Rock!!) and Ikuo Yamakado (In Search of the Lost Future) as character designers, and Touko Machida (High-Rise Invasion, Lucky Star) as scriptwriter. The animation production will be from Synergy SP and Vega Entertainment. Shogakukan Shueisha Production and Studio A-Cat are producing the anime.

The anime’s cast includes Ayumu Murase as Akira Shiroyanagi, Aimi as Yuri Amagake, Mayumi Shintani as Mion, Kazuya Nakai as Madoka Kirisaki, Yuichi Nakamura as Shin Kumagiri, Miyuri Shimabukuro as Ringo Tatara, and Akari Kito as Yan.

The anime’s story follows Akira Shiroyanagi, a high school boy and avid gamer who one day gets suddenly involved in a battle with a mysterious girl named Mion.


I, Tsushima has two versions: TV and web. The TV version will air on July 3 at 1:50 AM (GMT+8), with subsequent episodes airing every Saturday. The web version will air on July 5 at 11:00 AM (GMT+8), with subsequent episodes on every Monday and Wednesday from July 5 to Sep 26, and on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from Sep 27 to March 4, 2022. The anime’s episodes are one minute and 30 seconds long.

The surreal anime is directed and written by Pop Team Epic and Gal & Dino‘s Jun Aoki, with Fanworks and Space Neko Company in charge of the animation production. Meanwhile, the cast includes Akio Ōtsuka as Tsushima and Mayumi Tanaka as Ojii-chan. I, Tsushima is based on the manga series by Opuu no Kyoudai, which contrasts realistically drawn cats with less detailed human forms. The story will follow the daily lives of Tsushima and Ojii-chan, the person who takes him in.
