The official Twitter account for Kamishiro Kyousuke‘s romantic comedy light novel series Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Moto Kano Datta (My Step-Sister is my Ex) announced today that the series will be getting an anime, though the format hasn’t been confirmed. Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Moto Kano Datta follows ex-middle school sweethearts that are learning to live under the same roof while resisting their urges.

The series, which is written by Kamishiro Kyousuke and illustrated by Takayaki, centers on Mizuto and Yume Irido who become step-siblings after their parents marry, though the pair used to be a couple in middle school. Though they broke up at their middle school graduation after a series of fights. Now, the pair are living together and have implemented a sibling rule; the one who sees the other as a member of the opposite gender loses.
More information on the upcoming anime for the light novel, such as staff, cast, and more, hasn’t been announced as of yet.
