Starsand Island adds PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch versions, launches this winter

Studio Ghibli-inspired farming life simulation game Starsand Island will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch alongside its previously announced PC (Steam) version this winter, developer Seed Lab announced. A Kickstarter campaign to support the game’s continued development is also launching soon.

“We’re incredibly excited to reintroduce Starsand Island to the world and debut our brand-new trailer as part of the inaugural Galaxies showcase,” said Seed Lab producer Richardo Wang in a press release. “This is a project that means a lot to our team, and we can’t wait for players to get a deeper look at the world we’re building. Galaxies feels like the perfect place to share what’s next for Starsand Island and the journey ahead.”

Seed Lab producer Golton Gao added, “We’ve poured so much love into crafting an experience that’s all about comfort, creativity, and connection. Starsand Island is the kind of game we wish we had growing up—a peaceful escape where players can express themselves, explore at their own pace, and build something meaningful, either solo or with friends.”
