Star Fruit Books Licenses Chikae Ide’s The Final Strike Bowling Manga & Yoiyu’s BL One-Shot When Pink Rain Falls 4
Star Fruit Books announced two new shojo manga licenses this past weekend: Chikae Ide’s bowling manga series The Final Strike and Yoiyu’s BL one-shot When Pink Rain Falls 4: Sweet Pain.
The publisher stated on its Twitter/X account that The Final Strike will most likely go through a crowdfunded release and will be available worldwide sometime in 2026. More information will be announced by the end of the year and is only one of a handful of Ide’s works expected to be released in English for the first time.

Ide serialized the manga in Shueisha’s Ribon magazine in 1971 from July to October. A single tankobon volume was published and released.
Star Fruit Books also licensed Yoiyu’s latest Boys’ Love one-shot installment When Pink Rain Falls 4: Sweet Pain. The manga contains 24 total pages and is expected to be released this late Summer 2025.

A pre-order bonus will also be included for the manga’s release, which includes three postcards featuring original art from Yoiyu. A preorder window will be announced in the future when the bonus items become available.
Yoiyu released the first volume of When Pink Rain Falls in 2020.
Star Fruit Books later licensed and released the manga’s first installment and its sequels When Pink Rain Falls 2 and When Pink Rain Falls 3: Under The Mistletoe. The latter’s license was announced in October 2024 and was released later in the holiday season last year. Azuki also added all three installments for its digital service.
