This weekend saw the start of many new TV anime as the Winter 2022 anime season got underway and with that, the first episode of Akebi’s Sailor Uniform premiered on Japanese TV and on Crunchyroll. To celebrate the premiere key animators on the series, as well as the manga creator, shared some special illustrations of theirs of the titular character over on their Twitter accounts.

Miyuki Kuroki (The [email protected] SideM) serves as the director of the TV anime adaptation, alongside the series composition/scriptwriter Rino Yamazaki (DARLING in the FRANXX) and the character designer Megumi Kouno (The [email protected] Cinderella Girls). Akebi’s Sailor Uniform is produced at CloverWorks (Fate/Grand Order – Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia) and began on January 8, with Crunchyroll to stream the series. Crunchyroll describes the series as such:
It’s Komichi Akebi’s first year of junior high and she has her heart set on one thing: Robai Private Academy’s sailor uniform. As the next chapter of her life gets closer, she dreams of all the exciting new experiences she’ll get to have—school lunches, classes, club activities, and of course, making lots of friends! With her favorite outfit on, Komichi feels ready for anything.
