“Splatoon 3 to Paint the Town Purple and Yellow with 30-Minute Direct on August 10”

After a lack of major updates since last April, Nintendo today unrolled the news on its official Twitter account that a dedicated Direct for Splatoon 3 will take place on August 10 at 6am PT / 10pm JST / 2pm BST and will salmon run for approximately 30 minutes.

The much-requested sequel was announced in February 2021 and is currently scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch on September 9. A special edition console and accessories in the Splatoon visual style will launch two weeks prior.
