“#Space Battleship Yamato Compilation Film Gets New Release Date of June 11, 2021”

The official website for The Era of Space Battleship Yamato: The Choice of 2202 A.D. announced today that it is newly set to be released in 36 theaters in Japan on June 11, 2021.

The 120-minute compilation film is based on the two installments of the Space Battleship Yamato franchise – Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love. It was originally set to be released on January 15, 2021, for a limited time of three weeks, but has been postponed due to the second state of emergency declared in Japan on January 7 .

Advance ticket sales will also resume on March 19. A special limited-edition Blu-ray disc will be sold in the theaters from the new release day of the film, and its digital version is set to be simultaneously available on Amazon Prime Video and other platforms. General sales of the DVD/Blu-ray will begin on August 26.
