“Space Adventure Cobra Gets Video Game Revival From Microids And TMS”

French developer Microids announced a new collaboration with Japanese animation studio TMS, additionally announcing that both work together on a new Space Adventure Cobra video game. Outside of the game confirmed to be in active pre-production with targeted releases on current consoles and PC, details are scarce at the time of reporting.  

 

Space Adventure Cobra was created in 1978 by author Buichi Terasawa, the cult hit Cobra has fascinated many generations of fans with its complex plot known for its many twists and turns. A film produced by TMS and directed by Osamu Dezaki was released in 1982, with a TV anime released the same year. Magic Bus released the latest anime adaptation in 2010. 

 

“We were very impressed with the passion and professionalism of the Microids team,” said Tadashi Takezaki, CEO of TMS Entertainment, in a press release. “We are confident that Cobra fans will be thrilled with the new video game. We are looking forward to the final product, which promises to delight the fans.”

 

More information on the game, including the official title, will be released in the near future.
