#Sorairo Utility Casts Maria Naganawa as Hina Yoarashi

Voice actress Maria Naganawa is joining the voice cast of the ongoing Sorairo Utility TV anime series as Hina Yoarashi. The anime first began airing in Japan on January 3, 2025 and is expected to run for 12 episodes.

Hina Yoarashi is described as a wealthy golfer with genius skills, who is currently living in America. She will appear in the anime’s 10th episode and is previewed in the video below.

Kengo Saito (Sorairo Utility short, Arknights Anime PV Full Version) is directing the Sorairo Utility anime series and serving as character designer. Other staff include Yu Sato (The Legendary Hero Is Dead) as series screenwriter and co-scriptwriter, Kota Nozomi (Sorairo Utility short writer) as original concept cooperation, Hitoki Takeda (Gridman Universe) as color designer, Yoshitaka Kudo (The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess assistant background art director) as background art director, and Wu Jiann-horng (Selection Project) as compositing director. Yostar Pictures is handling the animation production.

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes Miyu Takagi as Minami Aoba, Yurina Amami as Haruka Akane, and Ayasa Gotou as Ayaka Hoshimi.

Sorairo Utility originally began as a short with storyboards by Akira Amemiya (Gridman Universe director). It premiered in Japan on December 31, 2021.

The TV anime series is streaming overseas on HIDIVE, ADN, Aniverse, and more services.

Pony Canyon describes the main synopsis of Sorairo Utility as:

Minami Aoba was troubled. She had no particular strengths or things she wanted to do. Is it okay for her high school life to end as such an ordinary supporting character!? Leaving school behind, Minami searches for her own “special uniqueness.”

She stumbles upon the nearby golf practice range by chance. Approached by part-time worker Haruka Akane, Minami grasps the golf club — the “utility.” And thus, it was the encounter between Minami and golf.

Winning is not the only thing in golf! Everything related to golf is enjoyable! Together with the genius golfer Haruka and Ayaka Hoshimi, who aspires to be an influencer, they seek the moment when they can become the “protagonist”! As a super beginner, Minami swings her club once again today.
