Around this time last month, Sony announced plans to revamp its PlayStation Plus subscription service with a tiered system and a bunch of free games depending on which you join. Now dates have been set for the launch, starting with Asian markets outside of Japan next month and making its way to the west in June.

Here’s the rollout schedule:

• Asia markets (excluding Japan) – targeting May 23, 2022
• Japan – targeting June 1, 2022
• Americas – targeting June 13, 2022
• Europe – targeting June 22, 2022

The basic PlayStation Plus Essential tier is priced the same as the current PS Plus membership at $59.99 a year, so there won’t be any changes there for existing members. For $99.99 a year, PlayStation Plus Extra has all those same benefits plus a catalog of up to 400 PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games available to download. Finally, for $119.99 a year, PlayStation Plus Premium has all of that and up to 340 more games, including select PlayStation 3 titles via cloud streaming and PSone, PS2 and PSP games via streaming and download. 

Some of the titles that will be live at launch are Death Stranding, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11 and Returnal.

This new service combines PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now, so PS Now won’t be offered as its own service and those who subscribe will be migrated to PlayStation Plus Premium with no increase in fees.
