You probably found some things you need to survive in Sons of the Forest but you feel like there’s something lacking. You may have found the crossbow or one of the pistols but you feel that you need something more, something stronger, something more robust. We are introducing you to the game’s very own – the Shotgun. Known to only a few players, there are two shotguns available in Sons of the Forest. They are, however, placed in separate locations. First Shotgun
A single blast from a shotgun could deal serious damage to anyone or anything who receives it. It’s no different in Sons of the Forest. Although acquiring this deadly weapon is a must for survivors of the island, it’s not very easy to get. The first shotgun is located somewhere in the northwest part of the island.
Even though it is hidden below the ground, the spot for the weapon is easy to spot. Just look for a makeshift grave in the grasslands marked by a cross made from wooden sticks. Obviously, you will have to do some digging with the use of a shovel. If you haven’t obtained the tool yet, we have created a guide on how to make a shovel in Sons of the Forest. Just keep digging until you uncover a casket with a fresh corpse holding a shotgun. Viola! You now have a shotgun. That was easy!
Second Shotgun
Sons of the Forest has a knack for making the second version of a weapon much harder to get. Just like the pistol, there is a second shotgun hidden somewhere on the island. Although the first one just needed religious digging, the second one needs a little bit more of something. First, you must have a VIP Keycard to open the locked door. The location of shotgun number two is inside an underground facility, just near the beach on the east side of the map.
Once inside, there is nowhere else to go but downstairs. It’s a huge place with lots of possible things that could happen, but you need not worry. Before you can find shotgun number two, you won’t be seeing any cannibals or mutated monsters along the way. All you have to do is go further down the underground building until you find a large living room with a bar. The shotgun is just sitting pretty right on top of the counter.
