“Sons of the Forest: All 7 gun locations”

Surviving on a cannibal-infested island is the challenge in Sons of the Forest. The sequel to the hit open-world survival game has enamored a lot of gamers since its release last week. There are a million things to discover in the game, but you have to be able to survive the harsh environment first. That would be easier done when you have a gun. In this article, we will be listing all of the 7 gun locations in Sons of the Forest and how you can get them.

Stun Gun

Although not known to be the deadliest weapon in the Sons of the Forest, Stun Gun is a reliable tool in times of great need. Basically, the use of this weapon is to maim or stun any unwanted enemies. After all, a stunned cannibal is not that much of a threat anymore. To find the Stun Gun, all you have to do is go to a cave near the beach (as shown below).

Trust us when we say finding this weapon is just like a walk in the park (or in the cave for this matter). When you go inside the cave, it’ll be pretty dark so you will need something to light your path. Just walk straight until you come across a mini light that will lead you to an opening on your right side. Once again, follow the path and you will eventually see a hanging corpse of a construction worker in an orange suit. Navigate the area and you’ll find the gun just behind the dead body. Don’t worry, there won’t be a lot of enemies in the cave so you will do just fine.

Shotgun #1

A single blast from a shotgun could deal serious damage to anyone who receives it. It’s no different in Sons of the Forest. Although acquiring this deadly weapon is a must for survivors of the island, it’s not very easy to get. The first shotgun is located somewhere in the northwest part of the island. Even though it is hidden below the ground, the spot for the weapon is easy to spot. Just look for a makeshift grave in the grasslands marked by a cross made from wooden sticks.

However, you are going to need a shovel since you have to dig a casket in the grave where the shotgun is hidden. To learn how to obtain a shovel, follow this guide.

Shotgun #2

As mentioned, there are two shotguns in Sons of the Forest. Although the first one just needed some digging, the second one needed more effort. First, you must have a VIP Keycard to open the locked door. Shotgun number two is inside an underground facility, just near the beach on the east side of the map.

Pistol #1

For this one, the survivor must prepare to get wet. Shotguns are cool, but a more handy weapon is no other than the pistol. There are two pistols in the game and the first one can be found in an abandoned liferaft near the western coast. The liferaft, which is covered in tattered orange plastic, is just afloat in the sea. You just have to swim towards it and climb the boat wherein you will find a hidden pistol.

Tip: The liferaft can be identified as a purple exclamation in the GPS

Pistol #2

The game doesn’t actually let you carry more than one pistol. However, if you want to find the second pistol, it’s much harder to obtain than the first one. For starters, you will be needing some experience in fighting a mutated cannibal, a maintenance keycard, and a heavy ballistic weapon like the shotgun. The second pistol is inside a facility in the southeast part of the island.

Rope Gun

The Rope Gun or Zipline Gun can be located inside a cave on the west coast of the island. Once you are in the area, the GPS will automatically indicate the exact location of the cave. Like other caves, it is barred with wooden planks. The cave is heavily infested with mutated cannibals so it wouldn’t be an easy task. Revolver

Before we begin looking for the revolver, you must first have the following: the shovel and a lighter/flashlight. Now that you have these items, it’s time to find the gun. The revolver is just somewhere in the northeast part of the island. Once you are in the vicinity, the GPS will once again indicate that a weapon is nearby. You will notice that in the location, there is a dirty green golf cart in the middle of nowhere.

The location of the hidden revolver is obvious because it is in a patch of land with no grasses. Simply take out your shovel and start digging until you uncover the “Maintenance C” hatch cover. Once below the ground, the revolver is just beside another corpse, inside one of the rooms. Spoiler alert, there won’t be any threats down there.
