Season 1 of Snowpiercer is a wrap! The drama premiered on TNT with a lot of mystery but didn’t pull in all audiences immediately. Will Snowpiercer Season 2 happen?

Despite its slow start, which I actually very much enjoyed, Snowpiercer captured the attention of viewers in its second and third episodes. The TNT drama features interesting characters and enough story lines to keep us coming back without coming off as overwhelming.

The diversity is also very refreshing, and so is the mystery presented early on. That said, please note there are spoilers ahead if you are not caught up on the series. Finish all the episodes first before reading on.

Fans of Snowpiercer are happy to know that the series will definitely return! In fact, you may already even know that the drama received a very early renewal by TNT. Unlike most shows that are only brought on for one season before testing the waters for a second. TNT gave Snowpiecer a two-season order before it even premiered.

At first, critics said TNT was overly confident about what they had. But it only took a few episodes for everyone to see that Snowpiercer is deserving of at least two seasons.

When does Snowpiercer Season 2 premiere on TNT?

The first season of Snowpiercer leaves us with the reveal that Melanie’s daughter is still alive. Presumably, so is her father. And I’m going to guess her father has not had kind things to say about Melanie.

Are the father-daughter duo seeking revenge? We’ll need to tune in to season 2 to find out! Luckily for us, the wait shouldn’t be more than 10-12 months. The cast and crew were able to film it before COVID-19 struck, so we’re guessing it’ll premieres on TNT sometime early 2021.
