Is this considered cannibalism?

Snoop Dogg is apparently planning to launch his own line of hot dogs — called “Snoop Doggs.”

The 50-year-old rapper’s lawyers applied this past December at the United States Patent and Trademark Office for a federal trademark registration on the term “Snoop Doggs,” saying he plans to use it to sell hot dogs, various types of sausage and other products.

According to Billboard, Snoop’s attorneys filed the trademark request as an intent-to-use application, meaning the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” hitmaker has not yet launched the company, but has serious intent to do so and wants to secure the trademark rights ahead of time.

This is the most recent in a long line of consumer ventures that Snoop Dogg has created in recent years, perhaps inspired by his industrious lifestyle buddy, Martha Stewart.

In 2015, the self-proclaimed marijuana aficionado started a cannabis company called Leafs by Snoop, released his own cookbook titled “From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen” in 2018, and in 2020, he launched his own liquor line called “Indoggo Gin,” as well as Snoop Cali Red wine with 19 Crimes.

But the decision to enter the hot dog business might come as some surprise for Snoop Dogg fans after he made headlines in 2016 with an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” during which the “Gin and Juice” rapper learned how hot dogs are made.

By the end of the segment, Snoop exclaimed: “This is a hot dog!? Oh cuz, I ain’t never eating a mother f – – king hot dog! If that’s how they make hot dogs, I don’t want one. I’m good.”

But Snoop’s aversion to the tubular food might win out in the end — his 2011 “Snoop Scoops” ice cream brand idea never saw the light of day.
