#Sister Princess 20th Anniversary Project Announces Its Suspension as of October 1

The official website for the Sister Princess franchise’s 20th-anniversary project announced today that it will suspend its activities as of October 1, 2021. The project featuring the sisters’ virtual YouTuber activities was originally launched in September 2019 as a one-year time limited project, but thanks to the enthusiastic support of the fans, it has continued much longer than planned.

The announcement says:

“Thank you for your support of the ‘Sister Princess 20th Anniversary VTuber Project.’ Today we would like to make an important announcement to everyone. As of October 1 (Friday) of this year, the sisters will be taking a break from their activities. This project was originally started in September 2019 as a one-year limited-time project to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the birth of Sister Princess. Thanks to the warm support of fans, we were able to extend our activities for about a year longer than we had originally planned. The four sisters’ VTuber debut following Karen, their virtual live concert and album…, without your enthusiastic support, we would not have been able to achieve this level of development. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of our fans for their warm support.”

“The sisters will be going to sleep for a while, but we hope to see you all again someday. Last but not least, thank you very much for supporting the Sister Princess 20th Anniversary VTuber Project. We hope that you will continue to support this project for the rest of the period.”

So far, five sisters – Karen (CV: Natsuko Kuwatani), Sakuya (Yui Horie), Kaho (Hisayo Mochizuki), Mamoru (Yumiko Kobayashi), and Aria (Nana Mizuki) – were able to make their virtual YouTuber debut, and held their first virtual concert “Sister Princess Live Stage ZERO ~Dream Ship~” on February 14, 2021. And even Rinrin (Chiro Kanzaki) and Yotsuba (Tomoe Hanba) have made their guest voice appearances in Karen’s regular YouTube program.

The sisters’ second and last virtual concert is set to be held on September 23, 2021, then the last episode of Karen’s regular YouTube program will be live-streamed from 19:00 (JST) / 03:00 (PST) on October 1. The membership for the Sister Princess 20th anniversary channel and VTuber project fan club will be suspended on October 31 (you will be still able to view the currently uploaded YouTube videos and archives of the live broadcast).
