The Duke of Death And His Maid Season 2 has released a short “second season broadcast decided” trailer. The new season was revealed to have a 2023 release date back in May.

The first season of The Duke of Death And His Maid aired during the Summer 2021 anime season and ended with 12 episodes. The show is based on the Shogakukan-published manga by Inoue, which began in 2017 and has 15 tankoubon volumes as of June 2022.

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the manga as:

When the duke was a young boy, a witch cast a powerful curse upon him, making it so that any living thing he touched would die. Now a young man, he lives in a sprawling mansion with only servants for his companions: an elderly butler, and his childhood friend, a busty blonde maid named Alice. Despite the curse, Alice is constantly flirting with him and seems to delight in making him blush! But how close can they truly grow as long as the curse is in place?

The first season’s staff includes Yoshinobu Yamakawa (Hi Score Girl II, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) as director, Hideki Shirane (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) as series composer, SMDE’s Mitsuru Kuwabata (Hi Score Girl II) as character designer, SMDE’s Yusuke Suzuki (Hi Score Girl II) as CG Director, SMDE’s Yūya Hatano (Hi Score Girl II) as the character modeling director, and Gen Okuda and Takeshi Watanabe (Otherside Picnic) as music composers. J.C.Staff is the animation production company, while SMDE is the CGI company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Natsuki Hanae as the Duke of Death, Ayumi Mano as Alice, Hōchū Ōtsuka as Rob, Inori Minase as Viola, Wakana Kuramochi as Cuff, Hiroshi Kamiya as Zain, and Yuuma Uchida as Walter.

The manga is serialized on Sunday Webry and published under the Sunday Webry Comics label.
