#Shinmai Ossan Bokensha Reveals Additional Cast & New PV Trailer
A new PV trailer and additional voice cast members have been revealed for the upcoming Shinmai Ossan Bokensha, Saikyo Party ni Shinu Hodo Kitaerarete Muteki ni Naru anime series. The TV series is scheduled to air in Japan on July 1, 2024.
The latest trailer follows the life of the protagonist Rick Gladiator, who hones his adventurer skills with the most elite warriors he has ever encountered.
In addition, Ryuho Nagaoka is joining the series as Linx Laurot, while Katsuyuki Konishi will voice Kelvin Urwolf.
Shin Katagai (Cue!, Re:Stage Dream Days!) is directing the anime series, with Kasumi Tsuchida (Lapis Re:Lights co-series screenwriter) as series screenwriter, and Mari Eguchi (Cue! Episode 3, 4, 8 et al. character design cooperation) as character designer. Yumeta Company is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast in the series includes:

The anime is based on the light novel series written by Kiraku Kishima and illustrated by Tea, which was first published by Hobby Japan’s HJ Novels imprint on December 22, 2018. Thirteen volumes have been released as of January 2024. The story began as a web novel in 2018 and also inspired a manga adaptation by Ken Ogino in 2019.
The story of Shinmai Ossan Bokensha, Saikyo Party ni Shinu Hodo Kitae Rarete Muteki ni Naru takes place in a world where adventurers are taught to begin their journeys at as young an age as possible. The magic that forms the basis of an adventurer’s strength requires training from a young age to develop.
However, Rick Gladiator’s combat skills are rated as S-rank — the highest adventurer rank, despite him being 30-years old. That’s because Rick received training from the monstrously strong members of the Orihalcon Fist — a legendary party made up of the continent’s mightiest adventurers. Thus, he continues to use his capabilities to beat elite adventurers that underestimate him.
