#Shimane Illuminati Saga Reveals UVERworld Opening Song in New Trailer

The upcoming Blue Exorcist – Shimane Illuminati Saga – anime has received a trailer that previews its newly announced opening theme song, “Eye’s Sentry” by UVERworld.

UVERworld had previously performed the opening songs for the previous Blue Exorcist anime seasons and the theme song for the 2012 movie.

Blue Exorcist – Shimane Illuminati Saga – will premiere in Japan in January 2024. The show is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Kazue Katou, which Viz Media describes as:

Raised by Father Fujimoto, a famous exorcist, Rin Okumura never knew his real father. One day a fateful argument with Father Fujimoto forces Rin to face a terrible truth—the blood of the demon lord Satan runs in Rin’s veins! Rin swears to defeat Satan, but doing that means entering the mysterious True Cross Academy and becoming an exorcist himself. Can Rin fight demons and keep his infernal bloodline a secret? It won’t be easy, especially when drawing his father’s sword releases the demonic power within him!

The previous, A-1 Pictures-produced Blue Exorcist anime seasons aired in 2011 and 2017 respectively. The manga series began serialization in Jump Square in 2009 and has 29 tankoubon volumes as of July 2023
