#86 EIGHTY-SIX Beats Mieruko-chan in Latest Anime Rankings – Fall 2021 Week 7 Chart Recap

For the first time this season, no anime has managed to win more than one chart this week, which means that each chart has a different leader. Here’s a recap of the Anime Trending Charts released from November 29 to December 2.

86 EIGHTY-SIX is back at the top of the Fall 2021 Anime Rankings, pushing Mieruko-chan down by a spot this week. The sci-fi/mecha show is now tied with Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation for the most number of weeks won, with both series winning two weeks. Meanwhile, takt op.Destiny has finally found its footing and is now trending upwards after consecutive weeks of decline. This comes after a recent plot development involving the male lead character, Takt Asahina. 

Two weeks after getting booted out of the Top 10, The Faraway Paladin made its re-entry as the series enters its second arc.

Hitohito Tadano (Komi Can’t Communicate) is no longer an average guy as he clinches the top spot of the male rankings for the first time this season, equalizing what his classmate, Shouko Komi, also did a few weeks back when she topped the female rankings. Tamahiko Shima (Taisho Otome Fairy Tale), and Kazama Souta (My Senpai is Annoying) enter the Top 10 male rankings for the first time. Souta now bests his co-cast Harumi Takeda, who unfortunately fell out of the Top 10 male characters chart.

Miko Yotsuya (Mieruko-chan) is starting to build-up a runaway lead in this season’s best girl race by achieving the top spot of the female rankings for three consecutive weeks. This week though, she is now joined in the Top 10 by her best friend Hana Yurikawa, who debuts at #9. Meanwhile, Destiny (takt op.Destiny), is now Yotsuya’s closest challenger as she improves from #4 to #2. She has the same rank as her partner Takt Asahina, who is #2 in the male rankings this week.

Red and Rit (Banished from the Hero’s Party) is now on the verge of winning this season’s best couple title, as they win their fourth consecutive week at the top of the couple-ship rankings. The Top 3 couple-ships remain the same, except Lev Leps and Irina Luminesk (Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut) swapped places with Tamahiko Shima and Yuzuki Tachibana (Taisho Otome Fairy Tale), with the former now at #2 and the latter at #3. 

Meanwhile, Harumi Takeda and Futaba Igarashi (My Senpai is Annoying) rejoin their  co-cast members Kazama Souta and Touko Sakurai in the Top 10, a week after getting booted out of the Top 10 couple-ships chart.
