#Shadows House To Get Season 2, Announcement Trailer Released

The Spring 2021 anime Shadows House is set to receive a second season. An announcement trailer was released.

The supernatural gothic anime is based on the ongoing manga by Soumatou, which began in 2018 and has 8 tankōbon volumes as of June 2021. The story takes place in a mansion and involves a faceless, pitch-black aristocratic family of Shadows and the Living Dolls that serve as their attendants and “faces.”

The first season’s staff includes Kazuki Ōhashi (Horimiya Episode 3 storyboarder) as the director, Toshiya Ōno (86 EIGHTY SIX) as the series composer, Chizuko Kusakabe (SHIROBAKO The Movie animation director) as the character designer, Hirofumi Sakagami (MARS RED co-art director) and Chihiro Gotō (MARS RED assistant art director) as the art directors, Sachiko Urushido (Fairy Ranmaru) as the color designer, Yoshiki Obata (HELLO WORLD) as the photography director, Katsuaki Miyaji (Wonder Egg Priority CG director) as the 3D director, and Kisuke Koizumi (The Dungeon of Black Company) as the music composer. CloverWorks is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, Shadows House‘s cast includes Akari Kitō as Kate, Yū Sasahara as Emiriko, Ayane Sakura as Louise/Lou, Kōdai Sakai as John/Shaun, Reiji Kawashima as Patrick/Ricky, Wataru Hatano as Edward, Shino Shimoji as Shirley/Ram, Saori Ōnishi as Sarah/Mia, Mai Nakahara as Maryrose/Rosemary, Rie Kugimiya as Barbie/Barbara, Daisuke Kishio as Ryan, Yōko Hikasa as Dorothy, Kenta Miyake as Joseph, and Yumiri Hanamori as Sophie.
