#Serena Williams lists home for $7.5M after Australian Open loss

Serena Williams is unloading her Beverly Hills mansion for $7.5 million shortly after her heartbreaking loss at the Australian Open. 

The 39-year-old tennis legend first purchased the home in October 2017 for $6,680,000. 

Spanning 6,000 square feet, the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom abode is located in the upscale Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood in the guard-gated Summit Estates.

Newly built four years ago, the three-story contemporary Spanish style home offers scenic city views across the valley. 

Amenities include a wine cellar, a yoga room, a full bar and a gym. 

The outdoors is made for entertaining with a built-in Wolf barbecue and refrigerator located on the patio, a Baja style pool and an expansive lawn. 

The home also has a Control 4 smart home system and a Nest smart temperature control unit.

Features of the property include custom cabinetry, custom plaster fireplaces and Bianco Bella polished marble countertops. 

The home sits on a quarter-acre of land and boasts an open floor plan, accented by oak hardwood flooring and contemporary finishes.

Williams’ decision to list the home was made less than a month after her Australian Open upset when she lost 6-3, 6-4 in the semi-final round against Naomi Osaka. 

In her post-match press conference, Williams was asked whether this would be the last time fans would get to see her compete, causing her to abruptly walk away. 

Williams also failed to make the finals at the US Open in September.

A source close to the star tells The Post that Williams and her husband, Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, are looking for a new place in the Montecito area, where friend Meghan Markle currently resides. 

Williams shares a 3-year-old daughter, Alexis Jr., with Ohanian, 37.
