#Selection Project Gets Real-Life Version of Anime’s “B.B” Performance

The “B.B” (Butterfly Bright) song performance from Selection Project‘s third episode has received a real-life reenactment by cast members Hinaki Yano and Saku Mizuno. In the anime, the song was performed by Yano and Mizuno’s respective characters, Suzune Miyama and Rena Hananoi.

The video was released on the KADOKAWAanime YouTube channel, which had previously uploaded performance clips from Selection Project‘s third, fourth, and fifth episodes.

Selection Project is currently airing as part of the Fall 2021 anime season and is being streamed on Funimation, Muse Asia, and Bilibili. It is part of a multimedia project that includes a manga. The story follows a group of girls who are participants in the seventh iteration of the titular idol audition/reality show.

The staff includes Daisuke Hiramaki (Asteroid in Love) as director, Yuuya Takahashi (Laughing Under the Clouds) as series composer, Kanna Hirayama (Rent-a-Girlfriend) as character designer, Studio Eater’s Yuuta Sakashita (Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater) as art director, Kei Ishiguro (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle) as color designer, Go Takehiro (Ikebukuro West Gate Park) as photography director, and Stray Cats’ Youhei Kisara (Azur Lane) as music producer. Doga Kobo is in charge of the animation production, while Dandelion is credited with the CG production.

Meanwhile, Selection Project‘s cast includes Hinaki Yano as Suzune Miyama, Saku Mizuno as Rena Hananoi, Nozomi Nagumo as Hiromi Hamaguri, Ruri Arai as Nagisa Imau, Hina Youmiya as Nodoka Yagi, Yuka Iwahashi as Ao Yodogawa, Mizuna Shirakawa as Uta Koizumi, Miharu Hanai as Shiori Yamaga, and Shino Shimoji as Mako Toma.
