A Catskills man has been arrested for providing supplies to a woman who attacked the NYPD with a Molotov cocktail during the height of the George Floyd protests, authorities said.

Timothy Amerman, a 29-year-old painter from Saugerties, supplied fellow Catskills resident Samantha Shader — who allegedly threw the explosive at an occupied police vehicle — with paint cans, glass bottles, marijuana and gas money as she headed to New York City to “cause hell” on May 29, prosecutors said Saturday.

Shader, 27, was chased down by police that night and arrested in the early morning hours of May 30 in Brooklyn.

When authorities searched the car she drove to New York City, they discovered a note covered in Amerman’s fingerprints, according to the court papers.

“I found a few more glass bottles Than I thought I had, Though still not many. I’m giving you my mask in hopes That helps. Wish I had more. There’s also a bag in here for you. BE SAFE Please. Really Good Luck, -Love Tim,” the letter read, according to federal prosecutors.

Amerman later admitted he supplied Shader with the “projectiles to throw at police and counter-protesters,” the complaint says, but declined her offer to “go down to the City to cause some hell.”

Amerman is charged with one count of civil disorder and one count of civil disorder conspiracy. He faces up to 10 years in prison. He is expected to appear in court for a bail hearing Saturday in Albany.
