The hugely prolific Sean Nicholas Savage, who has released over 15 albums so far, has announced details of his next project. Shine was produced by Mac DeMarco and will be released on July 22 via Arbutus. Today’s announcement comes with a video for the Shine title track, which you can see below.

Speaking about the new song in a statement, Savage said: “It’s about the glimmering eye of a seagull eating trash, or a cat on the fire escape, from another being, in another world, that glimmer of hope, the glimmer of life.”

The album is the follow-up to 2020’s Life Is Crazy, an album Savage says was him “delving into the overwhelming emotional experience of life. With Shine, I just wanted to dive in and be more healing.”

Savage is on tour in Europe from this week until June.
