#Saquon Barkley had to acknowledge Dexter Lawrence’s Giants supremacy

Good

Dexter Lawrence made himself seen and heard when he stuffed a Saquon Barkley run and then sniffed out a screen to Barkley (who waved off a substitution because he wasn’t satisfied) on the next play. The two exchanged trash talk but Barkley walked off the field letting Lawrence know it was a job well done.

Bad

Too many drops from the backup pass-catchers, including Derrick Dillon, Tony Brown and Wayne Gallman. Starting receivers Golden Tate and Darius Slaton both nearly made difficult catches in the end zone but had the ball ripped out before completing the play.

Caught my eye

Rookie cornerback Darnay Holmes made the play of the day, when his tight coverage on Tate was rewarded with a leaping interception off Daniel Jones. Rookie left tackle Andrew Thomas embodied finishing the play, as he punched the ball loose from Holmes on the return, but the defense recovered the fumble.

Medical report

Safety Xavier McKinney, linebacker Ryan Connelly and wide receiver Corey Coleman did not participate. They were rested based on their heavy workload earlier in the week, coach Joe Judge said. Connelly and Coleman are coming off season-ending injuries.
