#Rust Armorer Found GUILTY Of Involuntary Manslaughter In Fatal Shooting Of Halyna Hutchins!

Three years after the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film Rust, a jury has reached their verdict for armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.

As you know, the 26-year-old was charged with involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence last year after the Rust star/producer Alec Baldwin unknowingly fired a live round that killed the 42-year-old cinematographer. Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident.

Gutierrez-Reed entered a plea of not guilty, and her trial began last month, with prosecutors making shocking allegations about the armorer, including how she may have been on cocaine during the terrible accident. Now, after weeks in court, her fate has been revealed.

According to People on Wednesday, a jury at the First Judicial District Courthouse in Santa Fe, New Mexico, found Gutierrez-Reed… GUILTY of involuntary manslaughter! She was, however, acquitted of tampering with evidence.

With this conviction, she faces up to 18 months in prison! But we don’t know when that decision will be made as a sentencing date has not been scheduled.

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer has ordered Gutierrez-Reed to remain in custody at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. Of course, the legal matter over Halyna’s death isn’t over yet, as we still have another trial to go through. Alec, who was re-charged with involuntary manslaughter, will appear in court on August 6. He has maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal, insisting he never pulled the trigger on the gun, and has since pleaded not guilty.

We’ll have to wait and see how his trial turns out. Reactions to the verdict? Are you surprised by this outcome? Sound OFF in the comments!
