#Royals vs. Twins prediction: All signs point to Under

Young stars will collide in the Twin Cities on Sunday when the Kansas City Royals face the Minnesota Twins.

Former Florida Gators standout Brady Singer led the Royals to a victory over the Twins in his last outing, and has gone approximately five innings on each of his first four career starts and given up two runs in three of them.

Twins right-hander Randy Dobnak, who got a taste of the big leagues last season, has a 0.90 ERA in four starts in 2020 and has allowed just one home run in 48 ¹/₃ career innings.

The Twins offense, which set a record for homers last season, hasn’t been as potent, with Jonathan Schoop and CJ Caron now in Detroit and former AL MVP Josh Donaldson injured.

Minnesota entered Saturday’s doubleheader having played just one of its eight home games to the Over, the lowest home Over rate in MLB, and seven of Kansas City’s 11 road games have gone Under. With the Twins entering the weekend with the best bullpen ERA in the AL, it should lead to runs being at a premium.

The play: Royals-Twins total, Under 9 ¹/₂ runs.
