#Verizon Is Offering the NFL Sunday Ticket for Free – Review Geek

But there’s a catch, of course.

As part of its NFL partnership, Verizon is offering new and existing customers the Sunday Ticket for free. You just need to switch to (or upgrade to) an eligible phone or internet plan. If you’re a Verizon mobile customer who doesn’t feel like upgrading, you can simply redeem a $100 discount for the NFL Sunday Ticket.

This year’s NFL Sunday Ticket is distributed by YouTube and YouTube TV, rather than DirectTV. It costs a whopping $450—a high price to pay for out-of-network games. But hey, that’s why this Verizon deal is so significant. (Note that the Sunday Ticket is only $350 for YouTube TV subscribers.)

There are a few ways that you can take advantage of this deal. So, to simplify things a bit, let’s lay it out in a bulleted list:

  • Free with a New Phone Plan: New and existing customers who join Verizon’s Unlimited Plus Mobile plan and purchase an eligible phone get the NFL Sunday Ticket for free.
    • (Eligible phones include Samsung Galaxy S23 series devices, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5, Google Pixel 7 series devices, the Google Pixel Fold, and the Motorola Edge+).
  • Free with New Internet Plan: Join or upgrade to Verizon’s Fios 1 Gig, Fios 2 Gig, 5G Home Plus, or LTE Home Plus plan to get the NFL Sunday Ticket for Free.
  • $100 off with an Existing Mobile Plan: If you already have a phone plan with Verizon, you can save $100 off the NFL Sunday Ticket.

You can qualify for this deal today by switching to Verizon or upgrading your plan. But your free or discounted NFL Sunday Ticket package can’t be redeemed until August 11th. (And according to Verizon, you must redeem this offer within 60 days of joining or upgrading your plan.)

Obviously, this is a pretty killer deal. But I don’t suggest upgrading your home or internet plan just for the free Sunday Ticket—the price of your new plan will eventually add up. I only suggest upgrading if you were already interested in doing so.

Bear in mind that some out-of-network NFL games can be streamed or purchased outside of YouTube TV. And if you’re just interested in highlights, NFL RedZone is a much cheaper (and possibly better) option.
