Look no further: It’s Ritz crackers.

The company took to TikTok and shocked consumers everywhere by showing them what the infamous Ritz ridges are actually meant for: to cut cheese.

The scalloped edges are not for “aesthetic” reasons, according to the video that depicts someone rolling the ridged cracker over a slice of cheese to cut it in half.

The TikTok video, captioned “the more you know,” blew Ritz enthusiasts’ minds everywhere — while deeming knives unnecessary.

“My life is a lie,” commented one user amazed by the long-standing secret.

“That’s not what they’re for,” claimed another. “You just made this up.”

“But we’re Ritz, we’re allowed to,” the Nabisco-owned company commented back.

While this kind of cheese cutting is efficient and delicious, for others, it stunk.

Some people were quick to criticize Ritz, saying that the cheese could just as easily be pulled apart with your hands.

“It loosened it tho,” the East Hanover, NJ-based company responded.

The video garnered more than 178,000 likes, 4,000 comments and 3,000 shares, with people hungry for the truth about Ritz’s ridges.

Last year, TikTok user therealnobody30 posted a now-viral video, showing off the same hack to over 1.8 million viewers.

TikTok has become a hotbed for food hacks, with plenty of users sharing ingenious tips for cooking eggs, a DIY cake cutter using a wine glass and even the “ultimate spaghetti trick” with a kitchen counter and Prego sauce.
