Musicians and celebrities launching their own beauty brands have become standard business in the industry these days. But what a group of artists launching a brand? That seems to be the case for a mysterious new beauty initiative called Godmode, which counts Rina Sawayama and actress Chloe Grace Moretz as its co-founders.

The “Hold The Girl” singer officially announced her involvement with the brand on Tuesday with an Instagram post stating that she’s a “co-founder of Godmode Beauty; a new generational beauty brand which encompasses beauty, gaming, music and fashion” — an ambitious scope. A tap into Godmode’s newly created Instagram profile doesn’t illuminate anything more specific, but that it’s a company “born from a community of beauty and gaming experts, inspired by the creativity of digital artists, fashion designers, and music tastemakers.” Their products, they state, will deliver vibrant colors and high-performance formulas.

Actress Chloe Grace Moretz is the only other person who’s been announced to be involved so far. There are no products for sale yet — though there are photos of what appear to be lip glosses and compacts. The website teases that a first drop will arrive May 2025.

As for Sawayama, she added, “My approach to beauty has always been about pushing boundaries and creating unique characters […] With GODMODE, I’m so excited to bring bold and experimental energy toa. brand that celebrates individuality.”

The pop star released her last album, Hold The Girl, in 2022 and has since kept a low-profile in terms of music releases. Check back in on this post as we learn more information about Godmode.
