#Rihanna Says She’s A ‘Single Girl’ While Naming Fav Songs Of 2023

Rihanna has revealed a few of her favorite songs of 2023, and it appears Afrobeats has dominated her rotation this year.

Complex caught up with the Bajan billionaire earlier this week on the red carpet for her Fenty x Puma relaunch event, where she named a couple of her current go-to tracks.

RiRi was initially asked about her pick for album of the year, but she implied that she’s more of a “streaming single girl” than an “album girl.”

After some though, she answered: “‘Unavailable’ on repeat. That and ‘Mnike’ — it’s spelled M-N-I-K-E,” referencing the songs by Davido and Tyler ICU and Tumelo_za, respectively.

The former caught wind of the lofty praise and took to social media to share his reaction, simply writing: “My Ri Ri.”

He also reposted footage of Rihanna dancing along to his hit single while saying: “I made a pandemic.”

Rihanna also appears to be a fan of Nicki Minaj’s “FTCU.” Footage emerged from the Fenty x Puma event of RiRi turning up to the Pink Friday 2 banger.

Nicki then hinted at a possible reunion with her “Fly” collaborator, writing on her Instagram Stories: “The full gag city deluxe ain’t coming out until Queen Rih send her vocals. POW.”

While her boyfriend A$AP Rocky didn’t get any love in the music department, Rihanna recently said she adores seeing the rapper in dad mode.

“I loved him differently as a dad. This is major, major like — it’s a turn on. It’s just like, ‘Wow! What a leader, what a great, patient, loving [dad],” she told Access Hollywood.

“And my kids are obsessed with him. I’m just a background, I’m an extra. Yep! It happens! … It doesn’t matter if it’s girls or boys, they love their dad differently and I love to see it.”

In May 2022, Rihanna gave birth to their first child who they later revealed was named RZA Athelston Mayers, after the Wu-Tang Clan founder.

In February 2023, during her performance at Super Bowl LVII, the singer announced that she was pregnant again and they welcomed their second son in August, naming him Riot Rose Mayers.
