Being a fashion savant himself, People pointed to A$AP Rocky possibly now being involved in the design process, but Rihanna was quick to shut down soliciting her boyfriend’s opinion when it comes to the garments.
“Are you kidding me,” she jokingly fired back. “Do you know who I am? I’m a control freak. Listen, he’s proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish and all of my designs.”
Rocky did pull up to the event for support which saw live performances from Nas, Normani, BIA, Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee and more. As far as the models involved, they include Kanye’s rumored fling Irina Shayk walking alongside Emily Ratajkowski, Cindy Crawford, Gigi Hadid and actress Vanessa Hudgens.
While on the red carpet, the billionaire multi-hyphenate also spoke on what to expect from her long-awaited forthcoming album, which remains without a release date.
“You’re not gonna expect what you hear,” Rihanna teased. “Just put that in your mind like whatever you know of Rihanna is not gonna be what you hear.”
