#Ric Flair’s wife Wendy Barlow doing better after coronavirus ‘nightmare’

Wrestling legend Ric Flair’s wife Wendy Barlow is doing “much better” following a fierce battle with the coronavirus.

The Post previously reported that Barlow was “very ill” with the virus.

“She’s doing great. Much better. Not 100 percent but she’s doing much better,” Flair said on the Hall of Fame podcast Tuesday. “It’s been over three weeks now. It was a nightmare. All of a sudden it came on her and then of course you backtrack and figure out where it came from. She was really sick. I took her to the hospital twice. [She got an] IV once. Just to make sure she’s OK. They released her both times after keeping her for a couple of hours. You can’t be careful enough. In the world that I live in lately you gotta double-think, double-check and cross-examine everybody. It’s brutal.”

The Nature Boy was spotted at a Starbucks drive-thru without a mask on just days before The Post reported that Barlow had contracted the virus. Although being in contact with his wife would make Flair high-risk to contract the virus, he insisted to The Post that his “health is excellent.”

Despite living together, Flair has claimed that he and his wife have rarely seen each other and that Barlow is isolating herself upstairs while he lives in the basement.

“The house is pretty big, which is nice,” Flair said. “She’s way upstairs. She’s isolated. I don’t think she’s even come downstairs besides once in the last couple of days for the first time. Not down here to see me. Just down the stairs to the like the front door. Even though they say two weeks and this has been three, you just never know.”

Flair has repeatedly urged his fans to “stop the spread” of the coronavirus on his various social media platforms. In April, the 71-year-old announced a partnership with the American College of Surgeons on his Facebook account, imploring his followers to stay home as much as possible.

On top of his partnership, Flair has promoted his own line of face coverings. He has repeatedly tweeted videos of fans wearing them as well as himself working out in the garb.

“I was telling someone the other day you just hope, I look at my age – you want to know with the kids, your kids, grandkids, what do they have to look forward to? It is such an unknown right now; it is very disturbing,” Flair said. “I guess everyone is insecure and on edge. I haven’t seen this before, I don’t think, in my lifetime, and I’ve seen a lot. All we can do is hope for the best for everybody.”
