It’s been a decent run for the Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Lost in Memories mobile game, but all good things must come to an end. Where have we heard that one before? It’s almost like we’re regularly posting about mobile games shutting down! In the case of Lost in Memories, its final day of service is set for May 12.

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Lost in Memories first started service in Japan on September 9, 2020, making for about two and a half years of being live. SEGA rolled out the boilerplate reason that it would be “difficult to provide satisfactory service to customers in the future.”

As of February 28, all new purchases of the Magic Stones premium currency have been suspended. Refunds will start to be accepted on the same day service comes to an end. As the game approaches the May 12 closure, it will be made easier to acquire characters, Magic Stones and training materials, and there will still be new events on March 14 and 31 along with login bonuses and other campaigns.

For those who missed it, here’s the game’s opening movie:

As he’s lost and confused in a new world where he doesn’t even know left from right, the only person to reach out to him was a beautiful girl with silver hair. Determined to repay her somehow for saving him from his own despair, Subaru agrees to help the girl find something she’s looking for…
