Authorities have more than doubled the reward for information on the three suspects who shot up the home of two married Camden County Police officers while they were inside with their newborn baby.

The $20,000 reward offered by the FBI, Fraternal Order of Police, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, was increased to $52,500 late Friday after three new organizations pitched in.

The New Jersey Policemen’s Benevolent Association contributed $20,000, the First Colonial Bank of Collingswood offered an additional $2,500 and the Lawmen Supply Company put down $10,000, NJ.com reported.

The officers and their 10-day-old baby were on the second floor when three suspects in a minivan fired 10 rounds at the home just before midnight on Tuesday. Six bullets got inside, including two through the front door, though neither of the officers nor the baby were injured.

Police believe the officers, who were both assigned to the department’s community policing unit, were targeted, though the specific motive is unclear.

The minivan, a 1998 Honda Odyssey, was recovered by police early Thursday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to call the department hotline at 856-757-7420 or submit a tip via the STOPit app.
