“#Key Announces Summer Pockets Anime Adaptation Production Underway”
During its Key Channel 2-Hour Special: Lunaria Feature #2 & Staff Year-End Live Stream held online earlier today in Japan, an anime adaptation for the Summer Pockets visual novel was confirmed to be in active production. The anime adaptation was confirmed as far back as 2017, then confirmed again in January of this year. The visual novel was first released in June 2018 on PC in Japan and was released in an English version on Steam in February 2020. The visual novel is described by Key below:
From the creators of Angel Beats! and CLANNAD, Key, comes their latest emotional, award-winning journey. Follow protagonist Takahara Hairi as he travels to the secluded island Torishirojima, where he rediscovers what it means to enjoy summer vacation.
As announced in the KeyChannel Live Stream,
a Summer Pockets Anime is currently in production.
