Actor Mark Hamill, who portrayed Jedi master Luke Skywalker in the iconic “Star Wars” franchise, took to Twitter Monday to show support for the worldwide protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death during an encounter with Minneapolis police last month.

Hamill tweeted a photo of a statue of Yoda, the green alien who served as Skywalker’s Jedi teacher in the sci-fi series, with a spray-painted message: “Matter, Black Lives Do.”

“Luminous beings are we… ALL,” Hamill wrote on the post.

It’s not the first time the actor, who has been vocal in his solidarity with protesters, has channeled Star Wars to make his point.

On Monday he tweeted out a photo of Star Wars-themed posters on the side of the building which show Floyd in the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi, another of Skywalker’s fictional teachers.

The three posters show Floyd’s face wearing Kenobi’s hooded robe, each with a quote from the fictional Jedi master proclaiming his invincibility.

“Strike Me Down, I Shall Become More Powerful, Than You Can Possibly Imagine,” the posters read.
