#Reese Witherspoon made plenty of money selling her media group

Reese’s piece of movie biz

Reese — last name Witherspoon — could also own a ladle, cake knife, butter spreader and salad fork with the bread she’s just earned from selling her own media group.

Reese’s Hello Sunshine entrepreneurial operation specialized in women-led entertainment. Made movies, produced TV, promoted books and book clubs and just sold it all to the Blackstone company. That’s a media heavy organization. Also cash heavy. They paid Reese $900 million.

Meanwhile, in her spare time, she’s going to star opposite Ashton Kutcher in “Your Place Or Mine.” It’s about friends on different coasts whose lives change after a house swap. Aline Brosh McKenna, who did “The Devil Wears Prada” screenplay, wrote this and is directing for the first time.

Should the project slide into any movie theater, the bet is Reese will also sell the popcorn.

Also now coming is the film “Vivo.” Its all-American message celebrates Cuba.

Gloria Estefan: “Lin-Manuel Miranda e-mailed saying he had this role for me. I was so busy that it was impossible. But he sent a demo singing it and I said if the script’s as good as this song, I’m in. The story’s about lost love and separation. Being Cuban-American, it’s dear to me.

“I’ve been singing since I could talk. Music got me through tough times and was a lifeline for me. It’s the language of my heart.”

Viva la “Vivo.” Netflix starts streaming it Friday.

Where Margo goes

While blessing females right now, let’s add Margo Catsimatidis. Husband John is all over the media. Owns groceries, oil wells, WABC, ball clubs, parts of politicians, nearly ran for mayor — but we don’t know about Margo, the slim blonde in the background.

Mother from Poland. Grandmother Russian. Grandfather Ukrainian. Father, Army intelligence officer who found his wife in a concentration camp. Settling in Indianapolis they were on the poverty line. “I was in church six days a week kneeling on the concrete floor until my knees bled. I was hoping God would hear me. I thought I’d become a nun,” says Margo.

Age 9 she took ballet in school. Eventually the Bolshoi took notice. Coming to New York with only $100: “I know what it’s like to struggle. So poor I had to forage for food. Knee surgery sidelined my career so I worked 90 hours a week in John’s supermarket.”

Married 30-plus years. Two handsome grown children. Now, with husband John, she does charity events for 1,200 people, fund-raises for Alzheimer’s, supports Police Athletic League’s 40,000 needy kids a year, organizes a yearly party for needy youngsters from the five boroughs.

And found time to sit and talk with me after putting on a designer blouse and jeweled necklace John gave her.

Now listen & hear

Old stuff I’ve collected: Reported on IMDb.com was that David Copperfield started his magic career billed as “Davino, the Boy Magician” . . . In 1983, Mel Gibson auditioned for the Mozart part in “Amadeus” but lost to Tom Hulce . . . As a child Carly Simon was an unofficial team mascot for the Brooklyn Dodgers . . . Kim Cattrall’s dad couldn’t watch his daughter on TV years back because his remote Canadian area couldn’t get the channel. He went to a local motel. Said he wanted to rent a room for an hour to see his daughter on “Sex and the City.” They went, “Ohhh, we don’t think so . . .” and said no.

And Cyndi Lauper in “The Greatest Music Trivia Book Ever”: “A flying bird once pooped on my lower lip when I was in a concert. I just wiped it off and went on singing. I considered it a good luck sign.”

NYC’s nightlife queen Amy Sacco on curing a hangover: “Best is a pepperoni pizza with extra salt. Plus a Coke. It’ll put you right back on track.
