#Radiohead officially releases fan favorite track “Follow Me Around”

The song appears on the upcoming collection KID A MENSIA.

“Follow Me Around” is a Radiohead song that’s always been beloved by hardcore fans despite (until today) never being officially released. It first surfaced in the 1998 Radiohead documentary Meeting People is Easy when it was performed during a soundcheck at a stop on Radiohead’s tour of Japan. Since then, the band has played it live on occasion throughout the years and forced fans to resort to bootlegs to get their fix of the track.

Today, Radiohead have shared “Follow Me Around” as a single from KID A MNESIA, an upcoming deluxe reissue of the band’s albums Kid A and Amnesia. It’s a track seeping with paranoia in the cracks between the forceful strums of an acoustic guitar and frontman Thom Yorke’s vocals, capturing a very specific kind of existential ache. The song’s music video, streaming above, visualizes that to an impressive degree — Guy Ritchie stars as a man chased around his cramped apartment by a tiny camera. If you’re claustrophobic or intensely anxious about surveillance, maybe give this one a miss. Watch it above, and stream KID A MNESIA on November 5.
