#Public School Arc Reveals P4 Cast, Premiere Date in New Trailer

A new promotional video for the upcoming Black Butler: Public School Arc anime has revealed and previewed the voice cast of the characters known as the P4.

They are Toshiki Watanabe as Edgar Redmond, Junya Enoki as Lawrence Bluewer, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Herman Greenhill, and Tatsubaru Tachibana as Gregory Violet.

It was also announced that the anime will begin airing on April 13 this year.

Black Butler: Public School Arc is the first Black Butler anime since 2017’s Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic movie. Crunchyroll will stream the show, which is based on the Square Enix-published dark fantasy manga by Yana Toboso. 

Yen Press describes the manga as:

Just a stone’s throw from London lies the manor house of the illustrious Phantomhive earldom, its master one Ciel Phantomhive. Earl Phantomhive is a giant in the world of commerce, Queen Victoria’s faithful servant . . . and a slip of a twelve-year old boy. Fortunately, his loyal butler, Sebastian, is ever at his side, ready to carry out the young master’s wishes. And whether Sebastian is called to save a dinner party gone awry or probe the dark secrets of London’s underbelly, there is practically nothing Sebastian cannot do. In fact, one might even say Sebastian is too good to be true . . . or at least, he is too good to be human . 

There were previously three anime seasons, with the first premiering in 2008, and a two-episode OVA. The earlier Black Butler anime were produced by A-1 Pictures.

The manga began in 2006 and has 33 tankoubon volumes as of July 2023. It is serialized in Monthly G Fantasy.
