“Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Kids Officially Granted Prince And Princess Titles Despite Family Feud!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s kids are now allowed to use Prince and Princess titles!

Speculation about the name change first arose on Wednesday morning when a rep for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed the couple’s youngest had celebrated a special milestone last week, telling People that “Princess Lilibet Diana was christened.” So subtle, we almost missed it!

According to the New York Post, Buckingham Palace has since confirmed the little ones are now allowed to use their new titles after many months of anticipation. While the royal family’s website hasn’t been updated (currently they are listed as “master” and “miss”), changes will be made very soon.

The Suits alum had been campaigning for her children to receive the royal monikers ever since Archie was born, claiming the only reason they hadn’t automatically been granted the use of the fancy names was because of race. When King Charles III took the throne, he extended an olive branch to the parents by agreeing to make the change. But here’s the really interesting part! According to sources for the Times of London, the children were allowed to use the names beginning in September, when Charles took power, and the palace was waiting for the Sussexes to use them first before making things official on their website and beyond. So, why did Harry and Meghan just decide to start using them now?! It’s very eyebrow-raising timing considering the family feud is at its all-time worst!

Not only have the pair’s media projects stirred up a ton of trouble for the already embattled relatives, but they are now getting evicted from their UK residence. Also, Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Catherine all declined to show up to Lilibet’s christening despite getting invited.

So, while using the name ties the kids to the royal family even more, it’s not like it’s a sign that their personal relationships have improved much! Thoughts? Let us know (below)!
