#Pon No Michi Streams on Animation Digital Network’s YouTube Channel with English Subtitles

French streaming platform Animation Digital Network is streaming the Pon no Michi TV anime with English subtitles on its YouTube channel. The original series first premiered in Japan on January 6, 2024. 

The anime’s first nine episodes can currently be viewed on the channel’s dedicated playlist for the series. Regional restrictions for availability are applied to select countries and territories. 

Tatsuma Minamikawa (Fire Force Season 2 director and series screenwriter) is directing the anime series and writing the scripts, with Kenji Oota (Lance N’ Masques) as character designer, and OLM Team Inoue as the animation production. IISP is credited as the original creator.

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes: 

  • • Kaori Maeda as Nashiko Jippensha
  • • Iori Saeki as Pai Kawahigashi
  • • Shion Wakayama as Izumi Tokutomi
  • • Yui Kondou as Riche Hayashi
  • • Hibiku Yamamura as Haneru Emi
  • • Akio Ootsuka as Chonbo

A manga adaptation of the anime by Tsukasa Unohana began serialization on Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine on September 1, 2023. 

An “unofficial” spin-off manga series by Jun Endou titled Pon no Michi: Ryukyoku Shanyu-hen began serialization on Kodansha’s YanMaga Web website and app on January 8, 2024.

Animation Digital Network describes the synopsis of Pon no Michi on its YouTube channel as: 

After being evicted from her family home, Nashiko Jippensha discovers that her father’s old mahjong club has fallen into disrepair. Determined to bring it back to life, she sets about renovating it with her two friends, Pai and Izumi. Between fiery games of mahjong and moments of relaxation over tea and sweet delicacies, the three young girls transform the club into a veritable refuge where they can blossom.
