#Policy experts testify on gun violence before Senate Judiciary panel: Watch live
Policy experts are slated to testify at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday titled, “The Gun Violence Epidemic: A Public Health Crisis.”
The panel consists of Steven H. Cook, retired associate deputy attorney general at the Justice Department; Amy Swearer, senior legal fellow at the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Heritage Foundation; Megan L. Ranney MD MPH, dean at Yale School of Public Health; Vaughn Bryant, executive director at Metropolitan Peace Initiatives; and Franklin N. Cosey-Gay, PhD., MPH, director at the Violence Recovery Program, Urban Health Initiative, University of Chicago Medicine.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. ET.
