A 22-year-old Bronx man has been charged with murder in stabbing and torching alive of a borough teen, police said.

Adonis Betances — who lives about three blocks from the scene of the gruesome Wednesday-afternoon killing of Winston Ortiz, 18 — was hit with murder and manslaughter charges after being questioned by cops at the 44th Precinct stationhouse on Thursday.

Ortis was stabbed three times, doused with gasoline and set on fire on the fifth floor of an apartment building in Highbridge, around the corner from his home, according to police.

Sources said the suspect knew Ortiz and walked into the building just 10 minutes before the victim.

Tenants in the building said they were alerted to the gruesome scene when they heard a teenage girl screaming around 3 p.m., and ran out with buckets of water to douse the flames.

“I step outside. I saw flames,” one of the tenants told The Post. “I though her apartment was on fire. And when I go over there, I saw a guy in flames all over his body.”

Police said Ortiz was stabbed twice in the back and once in the chest, and suffered burns over 90 percent of his body. He was rushed to Harlem Hospital.

Neighbors described the victim as a college-bound recent high school graduate who kept out of trouble.

“They are a good family, good parents,” neighbor Jose Suarez said. “I cannot say anything negative about them. I never see him getting in trouble. I never see him hanging out in the hallway. I never see him hanging in front of the building.”
