#Police looking for man accused of gunpoint rape attempt in Brooklyn

Police are looking for the suspect in an attempted rape in Brooklyn.

A man mugged — and then attempted to rape — a woman this week in Brooklyn, police said.

The attacker approached the 38-year-old victim from behind as she walked along Crystal Street in East New York around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, and then threatened her with a gun.

He grabbed $12 from her, and then instructed her to get on the ground and pulled down her pants, cops said.

The two had some sort of verbal exchange, and her attacker ran off, cops said.

The suspect is described as Hispanic and around 5-feet-five-inches tall. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black pants, a black jacket and black mask, according to surveillance footage of the suspect taken before the attack.
