#Pokémon Lights Up the Skies of Hokkaido in Drone Light Show

“Pokémon Lights Up the Skies of Hokkaido in Drone Light Show”

Pokémon GO Drone Show in Hokkaido

Move over fireworks, drones are the future of light shows at Japanese festivals. After the Tokyo Olympics, there was a wonder when the drones that created the light show above the stadium would return, and little did we know that Pokémon GO would take the concept to the local festival of Hokkaido’s small port city of Otaru. The official Pokémon GO channel released the show on YouTube for everyone to enjoy.

700 drones lit up the skies above the first Otaru Ushio Matsuri since COVID-19 began, dancing to familiar Pokémon tunes and not only forming 3D models of Pokémon we love but also moving them! Nothing would compare to being there for July 24 show, but the video above does do it justice.
