#Players to start, sit for NFL Week 7

The Post’s Drew Loftis evaluates all the relevant fantasy football news ahead of Week 6 of the 2020 NFL season.

Big Weeks

Teddy Bridgewater QB, Panthers, at Saints (FanDuel $6,800/DraftKings $5,800)

The Saints are the third-worst at defending opposing fantasy QBs. They have allowed at least 20 fantasy points to every QB they’ve faced and given up multiple passing TDs in every game — including at least three in their past four.

Gio Bernard RB, Bengals, vs. Browns (FD $6,100/DK $4,900)

A foot injury will sideline Joe Mixon this week, giving Bernard the lead role in the ground game. This is a matchup that could feature some points, and the Browns’ run D doesn’t move the needle.

Tre’Quan Smith WR, Saints, vs. Panthers (FD $5,300/DK $4,000)

Michael Thomas (hamstring) has been ruled out, Emmanuel Sanders is on the COVID list after a positive test and will not play. Smith should get targets out of sheer necessity, and that volume alone could carry seasonal rosters. But likely will fade in DFS because of expected high usage.

Andy Isabella WR, Cardinals, vs. Seahawks (FD $4,800/DK $3,900)

Not necessarily for seasonal play unless desperate, but not a bad DFS flyer in tournaments. The Seahawks pass defense has been a sieve. Isabella has a two-TD game on his ledger this season, if he gets you one for cheap this week, he could be a difference-maker.

Small Weaks

Drew Brees QB, Saints, vs. Panthers (FD $7,700/DK $6,100)

Carolina has yielded more than one TD pass in just one game this season. If you’re still starting Brees, you’re doing so based on name recognition, not his No. 22 fantasy QB ranking.

Ryan Tannehill QB, Titans, vs. Steelers (FD $7,300/DK $6,200)

Sure, finding trends in small sample sizes of seldom-occurring events is not a dependable practice on its own. But it pays to know: Tannehill is coming off his fourth career four-TD game. In the first game following each of the previous three, he had one TD total. Oh, and the Steelers haven’t allowed a 20-point fantasy game to any QBs this season.

Robert Woods WR, Rams, vs. Bears (FD $6,900/DK $6,100)

The Bears are one of the three-toughest defenses vs. fantasy WRs. Woods is likely to draw the most coverage among Rams WRs from top Bears CB Kyle Fuller.

Cole Beasley WR, Bills, at Jets (FD $5,100/DK $4,900)

The underrated Bills slot man has scored in double-digits five straight weeks. The last time he didn’t? Week 1 vs. the Jets.
