The TV anime adaptation of Kokone Nata’s Play It Cool, Guys continues with its second cour on TV Tokyo in Japan on January 9, followed by AT-X on January 10 and BS11 on January 12. Ahead of that, a new promo and key visual arrived along with a fresh addition to the cast and the announcement of the new OP theme, which will have syudou kicking off each episode with the song “Warau na!” (“Don’t laugh!”).

Based on the manga by Kokone Nata, Play It Cool, Guys is being directed by Chiaki Kon (Golden Time, The Way of the Househusband) at Studio Pierrot, with series composition by Makoto Uezu (KONOSUBA -God’s blessing on this wonderful world!), character designs and chief animation direction by Eri Taguchi (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! key animator), and music by Masato Nakayama (My Little Monster).

The first cour of the anime is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll, which describes the series like so:

Despite being so clumsy, these guys never forget to play it cool. We’ve collected snippets from their daily lives where they do their clumsy best into 15-minute segments, and we’ll be bringing you two cours!

Once you see them in this clumsy comedy that’ll heal your soul with laughter, you’ll probably fall in love with them, too.
