In the wake of unknown Catastrophes in the heart of Terra, a mineral of unimaginable power has been discovered. With it, society’s technology has made huge leaps and bounds, but the substance causes a deadly incurable disease, leading to a worldwide enslavement of the infected. As a rebellion is now on the rise, a pharmaceutical company races for a cure to save humanity.

Arknights [Prelude to Dawn] is directed by Yuuki Watanabe with Masaki Nishikawa as assistant director. They previously served as unit directors and storyboarders on several promotional videos for the Arknights game. Yostar Pictures, which has previously produced many animated promotional videos for Arknights, is the animation production company. 

Other staff include Aya Takafuji (Blue Archive anime PV full version) as animation character designer, BIC STUDIO’s Minoru Onishi (Arknights “Shoushinshu” and “Yamichirasu Hanabi” anime trailers, Sakugan) as art director, Keiko Gotou (Samurai 7, various Arknights animated trailers) as color designer, Kouhei Tanada (Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop co-photography director) as photography director, and Yuuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia) as music composer.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Yuki Kaida as Doctor, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Amiya, Atsumi Tanezaki as Dobermann, Takashi Matsuyama as Ace, Ayane Sakura as Nearl, Shizuka Ishigami as Ch’en, and more.
