The clip for “Marking Time” was directed by Victoria Keddie and Scott Kiernan of E.S.P. TV. According to a press release, the video is an ode to Strom’s beloved iguanas, Little Soulstice and Miss Huff. Angel Tears in Sunlight is dedicated to Strom’s friend John Jennings, who passed away during the making of the album. “Sunlight represents what we’re coming into,” Strom said of the album title in a press release. “You bring the sadness with you, but you’re also prepared for the blessing of the new.” A portion of proceeds from Angel Tears in Sunlight will benefit the International Iguana Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting conservation and programs that enhance the survival of wild iguanas and their habitats.
Pauline Anna Strom’s last studio album was 1988’s Mach 3.04. In 2017, RVNG Intl issued Trans-Millenia Music, an anthology of Strom’s self-released new age compositions from the 1980s.
